Maa Society
Livelihood Enhancement
Most people of the tribal areas are illiterate and often exploited by money lenders who charge them high interest. We started to create self-help groups having 12 members in each; they are engaged in marketing Minor Forest Procedure and in other productive areas. We also give training on starting small businesses like candlestick company, Jelly & Jam making, weaving sarees etc. All these activities help the group members to start their own work among the community, they can even sell them and earn money through them.
Relief Camp
The effect of natural calamity shows fully upon the lives of tribal community where people are fully dependant on nature. The sea sides of tribal areas are the most affected areas where people suffer most due to bad weather. In this case, we reach with supplements in those areas and help people to get their daily things. Our volunteers organize camps where people can take shelter, we also provide clothes and bedsheets
Celebrate Special Occasions
Volunteers and members celebrate special occasions and birthdays of patriots where local students take part. They perform in the occasions, volunteers give speeches about the importance of that day and distribute candies among children. This is an open platform of entertainment and skill development.
Other Services
Government comes with various health facilities for the help of poor people free of cost which are availed at a nearby health centre. But the people of tribal and rural areas are not aware about them, as they are unaware about the facilities. We organize camps to make them aware about their rights and help them to get them.
